October 29,2008 -- We have just published part two of our three part story on PhotoPlus Expo 2008. PhotoPlus Expo is an annual photography trade show that takes place at the Jacob Javitz Center in NYC. We used PhotoPlus to launch our new video coverage and ended up bringing back over 18 video demonstrations from the show. We achieved mixed results with audio and promise to correct for these issues for our next series, which will most likely be at PMA in Las Vegas next March.
In part 2 of our highlights from PhotoPlus Expo we have great new video explaining the DROBO storage system, a demonstration of X-Rite's ColorMunki Monitor / Printer calibration system, a quick overview of Sony's 24.6-Megapixel DSLR-A900, a demonstration of Think Tank Photo's new Shape Shifter backpack, a new wireless macro ring flash from Metz, and a very short clip showing the Olympus Micro Four-Thirds digital camera prototype. . October 27,2008 -- We have just published part one of our two part story on PhotoPlus Expo 2008. The consensus was that PhotoPlus Expo 2008 would be overshadowed by Photokina, a huge photography trade show held every other year in Cologne, Germany. But I am happy to report that I came back with a lot of great new information from PhotoPlus Expo and in my eyes the show was a great success. Not only was it the first opportunity for us here in the U.S. to get our hands on the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and Sony Alpha DSLR-A900, but there were a lot of new innovations and non-camera product announcements that we were able to bring home to you by way of video. Click to read the full story and you'll find six video's demonstrating new products from Hahnemuhle, Gitzo, Shootsac, Imagenomics, Lensbaby, and a brief clip of well known photographer, George Lepp, demonstrating the benefits the 21-megapixel resolution found on the new Canon EOS 5D Mark II. .
