Ritz Camera Files for Bankruptcy... Again
June 25, 2012 -- The Washington Post this morning posted news that Ritz Camera & Image has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection again, less than three years after emerging from its first bankruptcy.
The articles points out that sales were up more than 20 percent in May for Ritz Camera, but not enough to support operations, according to Marc Weinsweig, the company's chief restructuring offer.
As part of the restructering, Ritz Camera plans to close 128 stores and cut its staff in half.
