Tuesday, 01/29/13 - Leveraging its long-standing and comprehensive expertise in the waterproof category, Pentax has introduced the 15th generation in its adventureproof line-up of point and shoot cameras, the WG-3. Its newly designed, large-aperture, 4x optical zoom lens (with the maximum aperture of F2.0 at wide-angle end), high-sensitivity, back-illuminated 16 megapixel CMOS image sensor, and sensor-shift Shake Reduction system ensure sharp, high-quality, low-noise images.
The rugged features of the WG-3 include an improved waterproof depth rating to 45 feet, while the WG-3 GPS offers enhanced GPS functionality for geo-tagging images that can be mapped back to your journey and a dedicated second display showing compass direction, elevation or depth below water. Additionally, the WG-3's category defining Digital Microscope mode and six LED lights surrounding the lens barrel enable focusing as close as one centimeter from the subject producing bright, shadow-free macro images. Priced at $349.95 the new WG-3 GPS is available in a choice of purple or green. The WG-3 is available in black or orange for a price of $299.95.

Tuesday, 09/11/12 - PENTAX today announced the HD PENTAX D FA 645 Macro 90mm F2.8 ED AW SR interchangeable medium-telephoto lens, designed for the company's 645D SLR medium format camera. When mounted on a PENTAX 645D, this lens offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of approximately 71mm (or approximately 56mm when mounted on a PENTAX 645 film-format camera body). By incorporating two ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and one glass-molded aspherical element in its optics, the lens assures high resolution image reproduction over the entire image field, while effectively minimizing chromatic aberration – a problem commonly associated with fast lenses.
Tuesday, 09/11/12 - PENTAX today announced the introduction of its PENTAX K-5 II and K-5 IIs flagship digital SLR cameras, designed to advance the company's well-received K-5 camera, which launched in October 2010. These new dustproof, weather-resistant and cold-resistant cameras include a newly developed SAFOX X AF sensor that delivers the broadest autofocusing EV range (-3 EV to +18 EV) in its class. Tuesday, 09/11/12 - Pentax Ricoh today announced the new 12.4 megapixel PENTAX Q10 interchangeable lens camera, new Q-Mount PENTAX 06 15-45mm F2.8 telephoto zoom lens and Adapter Q for PENTAX K-mount lenses, expanding its family of compact Q series products.

Thursday, 08/30/12 - PENTAX today announced instant rebates on its K-01 interchangeable lens camera (ILC) and K-30 Digital SLR (DSLR) camera. Consumers can also take advantage of instant rebates on a wide variety of PENTAX lenses as well as increased savings when lens purchases are coupled with the purchase of any PENTAX K-mount camera. Additionally, PENTAX has announced significant price reductions on the 645D medium format camera and Q interchangeable lens camera.
The instant rebates on the purchase of a K-01 are being offered from September 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012 and range from $200 - $300 depending on the type of K-01 kit purchased. Customers who purchase the K-30 between September 1, 2012 and October 31, 2012 will receive a $50 instant rebate. Additionally, PENTAX is offering instant rebates ranging from $50 - $100 on a variety of DA and DA* lenses through December 31, 2012. For even greater savings, lens rebate amounts will double when combined with the purchase of any PENTAX K-mount DSLR or ILC.
