HP today introduced five point-and-shoot digital cameras and three camcorders with features such as LCD displays, up to 5X optical zoom and fashionable colors. The cameras and camcorders come in slim, lightweight designs at prices ranging from $99 to $199 and are expected to ship in the spring.

HP today introduced two digital press solutions with capabilities that improve photo printing quality and color consistency. The HP Indigo WS6000p offers professional portrait output quality as a high-quality, low-cost replacement to silver-halide systems, while the enhanced HP Indigo W7200 Digital Press improves color management and consistency for high-volume printing of photo specialty products, including photo books. The company also announced that output for HP Indigo presses has received a Wilhelm Imaging Research (WIR) Display Permanence rating of approximately 45 years, the first of its kind for a digital press.

Snapfish by HP today announced its support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America. The WISH! photo books will be available for purchase in time for the holidays at the Snapfish Make-A-Wish Store. Thirty percent of the purchase price from the sales of the books through Dec. 31, 2010, will go directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Snapfish also will provide customizable WISH! photo books for wish kids and their families for one year. The families will be able to host their own online Group Rooms at Snapfish to share moments with friends and family and create more than 100 personalized projects with their photos.

HP has announced a series of new relationships and solutions designed to open up web printing to the masses by enabling people to print customized content how, when and where they choose. HP is working with AOL to embed the Tabbloid publishing service across the AOL network – including its RSS feeds – allowing people to print customized newsletters tailored to their interests.
On the printer side, HP has announced their first web-connected home printers; the HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web ($399), an all-in-one device that prints, faxes, scans and copies - along with one-touch access to relevant, printable content from the web. Other models include: HP Photosmart A640 Compact Printer ($149), HP Photosmart C4700 All-in-One Series ($129), HP Photosmart Plus All-in-One ($149), and the HP Photosmart Premium All-in-One ($199).

HP today announced National Geographic magazine is using HP Indigo digital printing solutions so people can order customized photographic covers of a special collector's edition magazine called National Geographic Your Shot. The collector's edition publication, available now, features the best photographs from the more than 150,000 images submitted by the public to the popular Your Shot online feature, where readers can submit their photography for possible publication in National Geographic magazine.

HP today unveiled the world's first web-connected home printer: The HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web. Designed for the digital generation and connected households, the HP Photosmart Premium with TouchSmart Web features an entirely new web-based printing platform with HP applications (apps). Similar to other Internet-connected devices, these apps, which are viewable on an extra-large, intuitive-to-use TouchSmart panel, allow people to connect instantly with fun, informative and personal content. The Printer features an extra-large 4.33" touchscreen, and produces laser-quality text and lab-quality photos. The printer will ship this fall with a target street price of $399.

This new printer supports more than 50 Original HP large-format printing materials designed together with HP Vivera pigment inks, including the new HP Baryte Satin Art Paper.

HP today announced new printers and printer technology that enable users to add creative touches to images and produce stunning photos and vivid documents, just like the pros. The HP Photosmart A630 Compact Photo Printer features a huge 4.8" touchscreen and includes more than 300 ways to edit, draw, touch up and customize photos up to 5 x 7 inches - with or without a PC. The new HP Photosmart A530 Compact Photo Printer produces lab-quality prints up to 5 x 7 inches and allows users to add borders and clip-art to create fun photo projects. The HP Photosmart A630 and A530 Compact Photo Printers are expected to be available in August priced at $149 and $99, respectively.
