The EX-S12 has a stylish body measuring just .6" thin (.5" at the thinnest part). It boasts an effective 12.1 megapixel resolution with up to 3X optical zoom and 4X Digital zoom and a super clear 2.7" LCD monitor.
Improved quality with high-sensitivity
EXILIM Engine 4.0 virtually eliminates the digital noise that is normally generated when shooting with high sensitivity. Even high sensitivity night scenes, which are normally prone to digital noise, come out clear and smooth. All this plus blacker blacks and improved color reproduction fidelity produces images that look just as good as the real thing.
Beautiful backlit scenes without troublesome setups
Even backlit scenes come out clear and beautiful with a press of the shutter button. Overexposure of the background is suppressed and foreground details are sharp and clear. The detail and rich gradations of the sky area also contribute to an image of exquisite perfection.
Auto tracking and focusing of moving subjects
Tracking AF locks onto a moving subject and adjusts focus as required. Even if the subject exits the frame, Tracking AF remembers the subject and picks it up again automatically when it re-enters. Focus is continually updated until the shutter button is pressed.
Features:
- Face Detection for automatic face focusing and brightness adjustment
- Automatic tracking and focusing of faces
- Anti Shake DSP
- Auto ISO sensitivity control
- Anti Blur Auto Shutter
- Auto Best Shot Mode
- Super Bright LCD with wide viewing angle & high contrast
Multi-motion Image
High-speed Continuous Shutter shoots consecutive images, automatically detecting the moving subject and stationary background. The images are then combined into a final image that shows a progression of the subject's movement against the fixed background.
Panning Auto Shutter
Normally, refined technique is required to produce a panned image in which the subject is in sharp focus. But now, however, all you need do is point your EXILIM at the subject and the camera does the rest! Images come out with a blurred background and focused moving subject, which really captures the feeling of speed.
Selectable Focus Frame
Selectable focus frame images make picture taking more fun.
